Learning by Listening

As we move forward as a community, these listening sessions offer faculty and staff the opportunity to engage in open conversations about working at Northeastern–what is working for you and how we could do better.

Keeping connected is critical to the rich culture of learning we have built at Northeastern. Learning by Listening at Northeastern is a series of listening sessions dedicated to opening up the lines of communication with faculty and staff to learn what makes you feel good about our community and what you think needs more attention.

You are invited

These small group listening sessions, facilitated by university leaders and Human Resources, have no greater goal than for us to listen and learn from you and others from across our global network. The meetings are intended to be small group, safe spaces of open dialogue with no set agenda or obligation to participate. Through the listening we do, we can identify themes that will help us build on what we do well, learn what needs to be updated or changed, and ultimately help improve your experience at Northeastern.

Please join us and let your voice be heard.

What to Expect at a Listening Session

  • All sessions are 60 minutes, held virtually, and have no more than 15 participants.
  • All information shared during these sessions stays in the room – there will be no recording, just listening to build understanding.
  • A Northeastern facilitator and scribe will be there to guide discussions and capture themes.
  • Notes will be taken, but specific comments will not be shared.
